Dear Flair Customer
Welcome to our first newsletter! At Flair Electronics we like to keep in contact with our customers and we think a regular newsletter is the way to do it, we hope you agree. We don't intend to to flood your inbox though, you will only hear from us when we have something likely to interest you.
We'd love to hear from you so do let us know what you think of this newsletter and what you would like to see in future editions.

Manufacturing in a recession
|
|

How Flair can help It can be hard to employ just the right number of staff: enough people to deliver the workload but not so many that they are idle when things quieten down. Flair can help by assembling cables and PCBs for you saving the need for you to employ staff to do this.
That's not all we can do to help, we have the purchasing power and know-how to take care of all your sub-contracting requirements from bespoke cables to box build. We specalise in small to medium production runs too so click here to go to our website for more details.

What makes Flair tick?
|
|
We spoke to Paul Hickton
Question: The recession has hit most businesses
hard, how has Flair coped?
Answer: It has been tough but quite honestly we
have not suffered a lot, I think this is due to a number of factors, we are an
established business - set up in 1972 - with a loyal
customer base, plus we keep our staff so don't have to spend time recruiting and training new people. Flair is
a family business where service and quality are our passion and
products are
built "up to a standard rather than down to a price".
Q:
That's good to hear but what keeps your customers coming back? Have you
cut
your prices?
A: We have not cut our prices because we offer
quality products and service and
you can't do that if you are too cheap. We review the marketplace and keep our prices keen but we are not (and don't want to be)
the cheapest. Our
customers can rely upon Flair delivering when we say we will without chasing and our products can be relied upon - that's what
keeps people coming back.
Q:
So how about the future? What are the plans for Flair?
A: Our first priority - as ever - is to listen
to our customers and give them what they need, this newsletter is just one way of
keeping in touch. For
the first time we will be at the Manufacturing Technology Show in Dublin so
that will be another opportunity to talk to customers and prospective customers. Basically we want to grow but slowly and steadily,
if we get too big
we will lose the personal touch and that is the last thing we want.
Q: Finally Paul, tell us a bit about you, what
do you do when you're not working?
A:
Spending time with my family is important to me I have two girls aged six and two and my wife works at Flair two days a week,
so trust me when I say she needs my help when I get home! I am a captain
at my local Tennis club and enjoy playing against other clubs in Bedfordshire.
Weekends are taken up being a taxi for my six year old. I love my
football and support Liverpool, so when I get permission, I get to watch the odd
game or two down the local with friends which helps me relax before and after a
week at work. Other than that, time is spent socialising with friends and
family and generally making sure I see enough of the children before work and
school start again on a Monday.
